Mission Statement

We will maintain a safe learning environment and provide the most current high quality drug and violence education programs available to students and staff.

 

SRO, or School Resource Officer, is a certified law enforcement officer who is permanently assigned to provide coverage to a school or a set of schools. The SRO is specifically trained to perform three roles: law enforcement officer; law-related counselor; and law-related education teacher. The SRO's in DeKalb County are fully trained DARE Instructors, and are advanced trained SRO's. We are the first line of defense keeping your children safe and teaching them how to say no to drugs and violence in our community.
